LIMITED WARRANTY & SALTWATER USE DISCLAIMER

This Limited Warranty and Saltwater Use Disclaimer applies to all jack plates and cleats manufactured on or after January 1, 2024.
Products manufactured prior to this date remain subject to the warranty terms in effect at the time of manufacture.

Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty

The machined billet aluminum structural components of the product, including but not limited to:

  • Jack plate billet side plates and structural superstructure
  • Cleat billet bodies and structural bases

are warranted to the original retail purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, provided the product is installed and used as intended.

This limited lifetime warranty applies only to the primary billet structural components and does not include hardware, fasteners, adjustment mechanisms, electronics, lighting components, or wear items.

One-Year Hardware, Adjustment & Wear Components Warranty

All non-structural components, including but not limited to:

  • Fasteners, nuts, and bolts
  • Adjustment hardware
  • ACME threaded components
  • Set screws
  • Thrust washers
  • Bushings, slide components, or wear surfaces
  • Cleat internal hardware
  • Electrical components, wiring, LEDs, or circuit boards (where applicable)

are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

Saltwater & Corrosion Disclaimer

These products are designed for marine use, including operation in saltwater environments. However:

  • Corrosion is influenced by environmental conditions, storage practices, and maintenance, all of which are beyond the manufacturer’s control.
  • Boats that are stored in the water for extended periods, exposed to continuous saltwater immersion, or not rinsed after use may experience accelerated corrosion of hardware, fasteners, and non-structural components.

Corrosion, cosmetic degradation, surface oxidation, or material wear resulting from saltwater exposure is considered a maintenance-related condition and is not covered under warranty beyond the stated warranty period for hardware and non-structural components.

Maintenance Responsibility

The owner is responsible for:

  • Rinsing products and hardware with fresh water after saltwater use
  • Periodic inspection of all hardware, fasteners, and mounting interfaces
  • Replacing worn or corroded hardware as part of normal maintenance

Failure to perform reasonable maintenance may reduce service life and void applicable warranty coverage.

Safety-by-Design Statement

Jack plates incorporate a mechanically captured billet superstructure that physically prevents the engine mounting plate from exiting the jack plate under normal operating conditions.

Cleats are machined from solid billet aluminum and designed to withstand normal marine mooring loads when installed according to manufacturer guidelines.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Corrosion beyond the stated warranty period
  • Improper installation
  • Improper maintenance
  • Racing use, misuse, abuse, or modification
  • Damage caused by impact, grounding, overloading, or accident

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the manufacturer shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, or special damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of use of the vessel
  • Loss of time
  • Loss of profits
  • Damage to the vessel or other equipment
  • Personal injury or loss of life

arising out of or related to the use, misuse, installation, modification, maintenance, or failure of the product.
