Limited warranty
Applies to jack plates and cleats manufactured on or after January 1, 2024. Products made earlier are covered by the warranty in effect when they were made.
Structural components: lifetime
The machined billet aluminum structural components, including jack plate side plates and superstructures, and cleat bodies and bases, are warranted free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product when installed and used as intended.
Hardware, wear and electrical parts: one year
Fasteners, adjustment hardware, threaded components, bushings, thrust washers, internal cleat hardware and electrical components are warranted for one year from the date of purchase.
Saltwater use
Corrosion caused by exposure to salt water is a maintenance condition. It is not covered beyond the one-year hardware period.
Owner maintenance
Rinse products with fresh water after use in salt water, inspect hardware regularly, and replace worn or corroded hardware. Coverage may be voided by a failure to maintain the product.
Not covered
Normal wear; improper installation or maintenance; racing; misuse or modification; and damage from impact, grounding, overloading or accidents.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, American Precision Industries, LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, damage to other equipment, or personal injury or death.
Making a claim
Contact the dealer or builder you purchased from, or contact us with the product, date of purchase and photos of the issue.
